UCI gets the following new players:
Men's Tennis
Chris Kearney - A senior 5 star recruit transfer from North Carolina. May play #1 singles.
Nick Northcott - A freshman from Australia.
Henry Chi - A freshman walk-on 4 star recruit ranked as high as #96 nationally in 2008.
Women's Tennis
April Bisharat - A freshman 5 star recruit ranked as high as #36 nationally in 2008.
Kristina Smith - A freshman 5 star recruit ranked as high as #37 nationally in 2009.
Last season both the men and women finished 2nd place in the Big West. This season both the men and women have improved enough to contend for & possibly win the Big West title. What's exciting is the added talent hopefully has laid the foundation to where both the men and women from this season onward can make it into the NCAA tournament every year. The next couple of years look very bright as the men and women look to improve their ranking and add even more talented recruits in the future.
