No BW Player Drafted |

After all the BS talk about Josh being drafted by the Lakers, the Lakers passed him up twice in the second round. All NBA teams passed him up. When Mills
dropped, I know Josh wasn't going to get drafted.
Was Pape Sow the last BW player drafted?

I suspect Josh will go to Europe, make oodles of money, and be a lot happier in the long run. The wide open European style of play suites him to a Tee.

Sow was the only Big West player drafted in the last nine years. The last player drafted before Sow was some guy from Idaho back in
2000.

The interesting thing about Dickens was he never made All BW in his two seasons at Idaho.
He averaged 12 ppg and 8 rebounds his senior year. He two year average at Idaho was about 10ppg.

Dickens played for the Blazers, Wahington and then the Cavs in 2007. Since 2008, he has been playing in Italy. Pape Sow played in 2004 for the Raptors, then
D league ball, then was recalled in 2007 by the Rapors and broke his vertebrae in summer ball. His career may be over.
Did anyone expect any BWC player to be drafted? None were talking about going pro. Some had hopes but, but serious pro deficencies. I think the only mid-major plyers drafted were one each from Davidson, VCU, Central Florida, Xavier, UAB, Memphis, St. Mary's, St. Joseph and Tenn- Martin. All the rest were from BCS schools or foreign teams. The message to any player, with only 60 spots available in the draft, is - go pro in something else by staying school and graduating. You will do well in rec, ball ater working all day. |

The two best players this league has had in the six or seven years are Christian Maraker and Bobby Brown. Neither got drafted. Maraker has been playing in
Spain the past four years; I do not know what has happened to Brown.

I couldn't believe that both Josh and Bobby declared for the NBA Draft, they then took their names off the draft list after reality set in. I think Green from UCI did the samething. Patrick Mills from St. Mary's was so great and he wasn't even a 1st rounder.

Brown played in Europe after he finished at CSF, then signed as a FA with the Kings last year and was traded to Minn. With Minn drafting two PG's,
Brown's days with Minn are likely over.

The guy has more tools than Jason Kapono -- although shorter.

Brown will be on some team's roster, as a backup point. He has the experience and his price is low. There were a lot of guards drafted this year.
