UCR signs Gordon, Hazely
12:23 PM Wed, Apr 29, 2009 | Permalink | Comments (0)The UCR men's basketball team signed Dwight Gordon, a 6-foot-2 guard from Victor Valley JC, and Jessee Hazely, a 6-7 forward/center from Santa Margaritis High, to national letters of intent.
Gordon is a two-time all-conference player who averaged 21.8 points, 8.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists last season. He shot 57 percent from the field and 36 percent from three-point range.
Hazely averaged 13 points and 12 rebounds and was a first-team All-CIF Division III-AA honoree. He led the Eagles to a state championship his junior year.
