Schedule tidbit |

A friend who knows people in high places tells me we have tentative plans to play a pair of Pac 10 schools.
Washington is supposed to be on the schedule, along with a preseason NIT matchup @Arizona State. |

Washington Huh??? | #1 | ||

I understand Arizona State since it may be part of a preseason NIT, but we just the Huskies played them two years ago, plus they won't be as strong ast this past year without Brockman and Dentmon. How bout Arizona (who we've never played) or Cal or Oregon State (who we haven't seen in a decade. Heck, I'll take USC since it will mean a trip to the Galen Center (even though I've already been there more than once). |

Washington is still going to be good | #3

Isaiah Thomas is NBA material. Brockman is a big loss but they've got athletes all over the place. Romar can recruit the lights out and he's
bringing in another 5 star Mickey Dee.

Washington has one of the top 2 to 3 PG recruits, Abdul Gaddy, coming in who actually decommitted from Arizona after the whole Lute Olsen situation. Very good
player. They have J'rue Holiday's brother as a junior along with little Isiah Thomas and Vernon Overton as there guards. They are also getting a top 50
national recruit in Clarence Trent, a 6'7 bruiser. They will not be as good as last year, maybe a chance to surprise?
Arizona St. loses Harden and Pendergraft so that will be some nice losses for us to compete. Oregon St and Oregon should be improved. Cal might just jump in to the #2 team in the Pac-10 along with maybe USC, behind UCLA next year as all 5 starters return (4 of them senior starters).

You know how Braswell likes to schedule games in the hometown of his seniors. The University of Washington is the closest Division I team to British Columbia.

Basically UW 2009-2010 should be like UCLA 2008-2009 | #7

That's a lot of athletes for us to contend with. But heck, Memphis' athletes were better.

Then we got to get Kenny a game against the Billikens | #8

Or what are some teams near St. Louis? Some teams in the MVC I suppose. Is the fat man still coaching the Billikens?

Kenny actually got a home game when the team went dancing in Kansas City. Can't give the scheduling coordinator credit for it though The trip worked out well for Vincent Cordell who also had family in the area. |

why should we go back east again, we did it last year with rider and drexler, they are like an 1-2 hours from the DC area. It make no sense to go there.

Texas Unis | #12 | ||

I want to see us play Texas Unis. Schools such as UT Arlington, A&M Corpus Christi, and North Texas would do a home-home with us. Playing Texas, A&M,
Texas Tech, or Baylor would be great.

YD, If you had gone to 1 of the 2 games last year I would have a little sympathy, but I am pretty sure you missed them. I don't know why you missed them
but I am sure you have a reason.
We also don't have any players from the northeast region of the country. What would make more sense is somewhere down south for cordell or the mid-west for kenny daniels (I know the tourney game kinda did that). The bottom line is unless we are gonna start recruiting the northeast, why go there, it cost a lot more for the athletic department, and 200 people showing up to a basketball game in maryland is a lot more than I would expect but not a reason to spend thousands on airfare and hotel rooms, especially when we were in the region last year.

Ha I've never seen anyone go off on such a rant over another fans random hopes that they would get to see their team play a game locally. Believe it or
not I dont think the CSUN schedulers look at this board and say "oh ydn wants a game in DC, lets do it...wait look at jigglys counterpoints, yeah lets not
do it." |

Since we now have 2 players on the roster from Richmond, VA (McLemore and Daniel), I wouldn't be surprised to see a game in the DC area this year or next.
On the other hand, Lyles is from Ohio, and Daniels and Fulton are from Missouri, so the midwest is probably a pretty good bet as well.
