To be honest, I don't know who creates the schedule. However, on Barry Faulkner's blog, he implies that it was Douglass who was largely responsible
for the schedule, so take that for what it is worth.

If so, I have no problem with Izzi laying back and letting Douglass make the decisions this season, with the understanding that Douglass is coaching for his
job. Personally, I am on the fence in regards to Douglass after this upcoming season, and I think that we would all be...

I'm disappointed in Izzi. I can understand not firing Douglass in his first year on the job. But now its becoming apparent that the man has no balls when
it comes to the basketball program. There is not one home game on the schedule that I'll be going to. I'm not going to check out Laverne, Vanguard,
Bakersfield. You'd have to pay me $20, with a free beer, hot dog, and licorice, and a seat directly behind the players bench to make me attend those games.

Even with the soft weak and boring schedule im still not sure we can get 20 wins this year. This schedule creates less hype from the student (then there
already is) for our bball team. What are the students going to look foward to this year for the home games? "Hey UCI is playing La Verne Tonight at the
Bren! Lets go out and watch that!" . NO

The students have proved that they come out to the big games. Last years amazing game against Oregon, the bren was nearly sold out....

If we don't get to 20 wins with this schedule, there should be a new coach on the bench the following year. I still think scheduling tougher teams, making
more money and having a worse record gets us ready for BWC games and the conference tourney. And, that's the only way to get to the NCAA Tourney.
