UCR's baseball season has continued to roll on since first posting the comment awhile back. The break for final exams will give them a chance to catch their breath before going to Santa Barbara and then returning home for BWC play against CSUF. The Fullerton series has been a competitive one since UCR joined D1 ball. Now that the basketball seasons are over, it would be great to see the followers of UCR sports move their focus to this team.

Thanks for the kudos on the site, and thanks for the post regarding this year's Highlanders baseball team. Our 14-3 record ties the best start in the Division I history of the program (2003). It's still early yet, but this season is shaping up so far to be a good one. Hopefully we'll see everybody at the Cal State Fullerton series on March 27 (6:00 pm), March 28 (2:00 pm) and March 29 (1:00 pm).

UCR 4-2 to start the season; come from behind extra innings win 5-4 on Friday at home vs. USF after being shut out 7-0 in home opener. This followed a strong start, going 3-1, all on road against Cal and UCLA to begin the season. The pitching has been strong; control has been very effective.
